The United Trappers of Kentucky,Inc. shall exist for purposes which are educational and charitable in nature. Its primary activity shall be the enrichment of the outdoor experience of its members,this objective is to be achieved through public education,cooperation with groups of common interest,youth mentoring,training seminars, and other means. It shall be the purpose of the United Trappers of Kentucky,Inc. to represent the interests of all Kentucky trappers in regards to legislation and/or regulation,whether favorable or otherwise.Likewise, it shall be at all times work with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources,seeking to bring about the most equitable and effective trapping methods possible,to maximize the trapping experience for the trappers of Kentucky.It shall be the purpose of the United Trappers of Kentucky,Inc. to work towards educating the public,news media,and public officials as to the necessity and value of regulated trapping as a wildlife management tool,and as a rich outdoor experience.Likewise the United Trappers of Kentucky,Inc. shall express a desire to work with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources in conducting trapper training as a regular portion of the Hunter Safety Training.Further,the United Trappers of Kentucky,Inc. shall undertake a structured program of regular seminars for the purpose of improving the skill level and effectiveness of Kentucky trappers,regarding the proper methods of trapping,snaring and fur handling
